Digital Nirvana’s 2017 Year-in-Review

As 2017 comes to a close, we’re wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season! The Digital Nirvana team is reflecting on the year that we’ve had. Here are some of our company highlights:

In 2017, Digital Nirvana continued to expand its product and service offerings. Last April at NAB in Las Vegas, we introduced our automated sports clipping service. The new service automatically analyzes sports broadcasts in real-time and generates ready-to-publish clips of those highlights. Designed to enable broadcasters to easily capture and share every fast-paced moment in a game, the service has been well received in the sports arena. It’s coupled with automated caption synchronization, empowering users to publish sports media content online and via social media without time lag while complying with new FCC regulations.

Check out this video of our CEO, Hiren Hindocha, talking more about the sports clipping service:

Our recently introduced closed captioning, caption synchronization, video logging, and subtitle generation services also gained traction with broadcasters, media production houses, and video content producers as we showcased them at industry events, including NAB Las Vegas, NAB New York, and IBC in Amsterdam.

Hiren Hindocha explained, “Our automated captioning services were developed in response to customer need. Creators of news and sports content are facing new challenges with regulations, user engagement, and discoverability of video content. Our technology provides efficient and highly accurate closed captioning services, which both ensures regulatory compliance and improves viewer experience.”

We also demonstrated our services for media monitoring and measurement at events geared specifically to providers of media evaluation and communication research, including the International Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC) Global Summit in Thailand and D.C.’s FIBEP World Media Intelligence Congress.

multi view monitoring

On the products front, our flagship media management system, MonitorIQ 5.0, continued to attract new customers, with many new deployments and upgrades from existing customers who had been using earlier versions. MonitorIQ 5.0 delivers a full range of multi-channel signal monitoring, repurposing, logging, compliance and archiving functions, offering cloud-based recording and OTT stream monitoring functions with a user-friendly interface. It also includes HTML5 and HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) support.

We’re looking forward to further providing our customers with intelligent media management solutions and continuing our growth in 2018. We wish you a Happy New Year!
