Digital Nirvana is on track for record growth, a true sign of the value we’re offering customers in the accelerating market for compliance monitoring and metadata generation services. To provide maximum support for our expanding customer base and deliver innovation-driven solutions, we’ve made four key sales appointments in the first half of 2019. All of these talented professionals happen to be Volicon vets, which will be a huge asset as we continue to help those customers migrate to our next-generation monitoring solutions.
First to join us this year was Russell Wise, our senior vice president of sales and marketing. Russell brings more than 25 years of experience to this important role, and he knows our industry inside and out after serving as a founding team member and vice president of global sales at Volicon. Just before moving to Digital Nirvana, he was vice president of global sales at Verizon Digital Media Services (VDMS) after its acquisition of Volicon. Russell has an outstanding track record for building meaningful relationships and signing significant deals, and his experience and expertise are just what we need to take Digital Nirvana to the next level.
In February, we brought on Anant Khanolkar to serve as senior director of international sales. Anant manages all direct sales and reseller functions across EMEA, Asia Pacific, and Latin America, and he joins us from VDMS where he played a similar role. Anant was also a founding team member at Volicon and provided exceptional sales coverage and customer acquisition in EMEA and the Asia Pacific through both direct and reseller channels. His international experience and strong sales background will be vital as we continue to expand our global footprint.
Keith DesRosiers joined Digital Nirvana in March as director of sales solutions. Keith is leveraging more than 20 years of industry experience in his new role after serving as director of solutions engineering at VDMS. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at Volicon, providing full product lifecycle support and helping design and implement the company’s audio and video logging and monitoring solutions. Keith is an expert in identifying customer needs and wants, and then working with the engineering team to deliver solutions based on industry trends and customer feedback.
Finally, we’ve just added Ed Hauber to the sales management team as director of business development. Ed brings more than 30 years of experience in broadcasting technology to the table as he takes on Digital Nirvana’s business and solution development for major broadcasters in the U.S. Ed was director of sales for VDMS, where he led the North American broadcast sales practice, and prior to that served for 10 years as director of sales for Volicon. He was one of the most productive members of the Volicon sales team, and he has outstanding insight into broadcasters’ requirements for compliance logging and the associated technologies.
