MonitorIQ Broadcast Monitoring System is an innovative, networked appliance that incorporates a multi-channel recorder, from one to four built-in intelligent tuners, and customizable storage. Digital Nirvana’s building-block architecture allows vertical scaling by adding affordable appliances as needed to accommodate future growth in monitoring needs, up to dozens or even hundreds of channels. Each appliance records up to four digital channel streams, including all sub-channels. Vertical scaling to add recording capacity is also possible by adding storage. Deployment is simple -- a single antenna or cable input is all you need.
Web-based Interface
A central Web-based interface enables full system access and use from any device with a browser so all staff can get the job done at the office, at home, or on the road. The MonitorIQ access manager allows role-specific tailoring of permissions, so staff can carry out their responsibilities while the risk of errors or interference with other group functions is minimized.
System Integration
With the ability to integrate with existing systems, MonitorIQ BMS delivers a total broadcast monitoring solution that streamlines station operations. Adapters are included for popular broadcast business systems, and custom adapters can be developed on request to connect to any broadcast operations system. Program guide integration makes it easy to set up recording schedules or search by program, while the ability to ingest ratings and advertising data allows competitive analysis to be done in-house.
High Availability
MonitorIQ BMS delivers high-availability features to make sure monitoring continues without a hitch, while minimizing equipment costs and ensuring a low total cost of ownership. Fewer standby units are needed to provide redundancy, because MonitorIQ BMS automatically switches to a standby unit for hot failover. System services are continuously monitored, allowing intelligent alerts to be sent in real time when pre-set trouble conditions are detected. A “call home” feature for remote support helps resolve problems quickly.
Input and Output Formats
Intelligent, built-in tuners supporting ATSC/QAM, NTS/PAL, as well as systems supporting HD-SDI or DVB-ASI streams enabling multiple HD/SD recording simultaneously in original broadcast bitrate enabling content repurposing with ease.
Output formats include Flash, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, XDCAM, Final Cut Pro® and H.264, so content can be repurposed for use on Web sites, portable media players, and mobile Internet devices.
